Eye

I was fooling around in Photoshop when I decided to have a go at drawing an eye. I used the brush tool for mostly all of it before deciding to add an eyebrow for a chance to practice hair. Although it is not visible here I used a set of circles and guidelines to help me form the shape.

Cloudscape task

The product of the Cloudscape task, I feel as though it definitely needs some work, but for my first time using Photoshop I am pleased with the result.

Shadows and proportions, Life Drawing 10/10/2013

I was very pleased with how this sketch turned out. I believe the body proportions are realistic and I am rather impressed with how the facial features turned out. I do however need to work on my shadows positions in relation to the light source.

'Chess piece' assignment

I am fairly pleased with these 'chess piece' designs, they are inspired by fantasy worlds such as Warcraft by Blizzard Entertainment and A Song of Ice and Fire by G RR Martin. I do however believe that the colouring is particularly poor, perhaps necessitating predominantly black and white sketches and designs in the future.

First 30 minute Life drawing sketch

The first 30 minute life drawing sketch, I have always believed that I need more practice when it comes to drawing faces and this piece is a testament to that. I believe I did a good job with the perspective of the chair and the stool

Elf Soldier Task 09/10/2013

The end product of a a little while longer on the 'Elf Soldier' task from 09/10/2013 session. I think that the shading on the sleeves and on the main jerkin itself turned out really well, however the shading on the gloves and boots may need a little work
