I accompanied the group as we went to Leeds armouries in October, the trip was a pleasant one and there was plenty to see and do in the complex. Many of the displays were interesting and I came away more enlightened about the history of warfare that I was going in. I have included a few photos below that I believe were particularly relevant to my course work.
This is an assortment of naval weapons, such as the boarding spear and the cutlass.
This is from the same display and is yet more naval armaments. The most interesting is either the blunderbuss, (first on the right) and the six-barrel musket (third from the right).
This is again from the same display but this time focusing more on the pistols, displayed at the bottom.
This is an assortment of swords, ranging from small rapiers to large cutlasses.
This is a pair of duelling pistols.
